Carmel-by-the-Sea… Is it an affordable place to visit? Any pointers or tips?
I wanna take a mini trip up to Carmel this summer (like 2 nights or so). I’ve been looking at pictures and it looks so beautiful and peaceful.
1. I live in LA and plan on taking PCH all the way there. Is there any good sights to see or places to stop on my way there?
2. Also, are you allowed to camp out at the beaches?
I’ve never camped at a beach and definitely want to try it. I was thinking maybe (if allowed) camping one night, and getting a room the next.
3. What are some decent and affordable hotels or inns?
4. Any other tips/advice?
All info will be helpful.
THANKS
Its completely gorgeous, the white sanded beaches and the sunsets–gorgeous
You can not camp on the beach anywhere in the US without a permit.
you can not get one in Carmel, it would attract to many homeless people from S.F
It is on the pricey side but if you live in LA it shouldnt seem to pricey for you. It might be to someone from outside of CA.
CLint Eastwood is the mayor, you should try to find him at city hall lol
