Camp Fire

Camp Fire
Where in the Midlands can myself and 3 friends camp overnight, with a fire and enjoy a beer?

We’re sensible individuals so alcohol or litter wouldn’t be an issue, it is just a supplement to having a couple of days without college work. Also we’d like to build a small fire and I’m aware that’s an issue in a proper camp “site” so anywhere secluded would be perfect! :) Thanks! Peace x

Derbyshire, try matlock bath. The surrounding area is practically fields, and it’s really quiet down there..just a few shops, chippys and arcades. It’s where Gullivers Kingdom is located, it’s really a valley. It’s nice because it’s literally not linked to anything except the small village of matlock down the road, but it’s good to get out the way and enjoy yourself, just start there and take a hike through the fields up top until you find somewhere to stay.

It’s not my thing to be honest, I prefer the city, but it’s out the way and derbyshire is good for camping; at least you’ve got access to shops and things in the day, depending on how long you’re staying. There’s also a bus, it’s not as regular as you’d like, that goes into Derby if needed. You can doss around there for the day or go to Nottingham via the red arrow, 30 minute bus trip. Obviously though it sounds like you just wanna go camping, so Matlock Bath, or the surrounding area is a good plan!
