Samburu Larsens Tented Camp Kenya
Samburu Larsens Tented Camp is situated on the banks of the Uaso Nyiro in the wild and beautiful National Samburu Game Reserve, Kenya, the characteristics of the style of chic luxury Tented Camp Safari in the desert wilderness Kenya. Without doubt one of the destinations Kenya safari par excellence, Samburu Larsens Camp Hotel is named after Erik Ole Larsen, a Danish legend credited with the definition luxury safari camp in Kenya and camping tents Mobile. Designed in a contemporary style safari, luxury blends with spectacular surroundings of the game reserve Samburu.
Samburu Larsens Camp was inaugurated in 1987 and is 320 km north of Nairobi, Kenya, at the border the former Northern Frontier Province. Tranquility and nature embrace you the minute Larsens River Lodge Hotel is the ideal setting for an endless parade of wildlife – elephants rolling and trumpets in the shallows, timid impala nervously drinking, baboons and vervet monkeys swing through the canopy of trees. A new swimming pool and outdoor jacuzzi adds a touch of luxury and is a nice feature for the hot afternoon, although some may find a little incongruous in the dry forest, Samburu. Larsen area offers a good alternative if clients are looking for something a little more affordable than the exclusive areas, but I prefer a smaller, more intimate. The leopard is the main attraction and other big cats are very common, but should seek Grevy's zebra and reticulated giraffe. Both species are particularly finely marked and can be seen in Samburu.
You can expect to see elephants, greater kudu, gerenuk, oryx, Somali ostrich hen Vulturine Guinea, among others. More than a tale is exchanged around the fire every night. In the glow of embers the African night calls, a jet of tobacco smoke and suddenly a white liquor players, game drives and shared personal stories come to life – is a wonderful place to make new friends and enjoy the essence of Africa as did the pioneers of Safari several years ago. An animal viewing platform in a tree you can explore the vast plains of Samburu.
It safaris, champagne breakfasts on the River Uaso Nyiro, cocktail sunset sunshine walks of wild birds and black tie dinner in the tent for meals. Hotel restaurants are an integral part of the experience Larsens camp and are designed for a pleasant surprise: from a champagne breakfast on the river a five-course dinner served by the fire.
Weather Larsen camp is great and the area is a real treat. The tents are large and newly renovated beds and furniture are excellent and the bathroom is enormous. safari tents are decorated with period gave the feeling of being in a classic safari.
The food at each meal is excellent and the service of all staff is excellent and friendly. Monkeys to join their tents and outdoor lunch, but never too easy and fun watch. The grounds are beautifully situated on the banks of the River Uaso Nyiro with a beautiful terrace where you can eat lunch outdoors.
All the camp is very well maintained – including a swimming pool with a magnificent view. The staff is incredibly helpful and goes out of his way to accommodate whatever you need. I even make coffee or hot chocolate biscuits in the morning he awoke in his tent. At Camp Larsen also feels very sure that the reasons are surrounded by an electric fence and guards patrolling around the clock. Larsen also offers the opportunity to visit the local Samburu tribe and highly recommended. It was an incredible experience to see how the life of the Samburu tribe and meet people and children!
Larsens camp tent is by far the smallest with only 20 tents, the other lodges and camps in Samburu hotels are much higher with some more than 100 rooms, smaller camp safari a very personal service, something that does not take much more safari camps. Sue and Mike has managed to be very useful and out of his way to accommodate all you need and one of them was still there when he returned from a unit of play
When you return in the morning, cooked especially for you, apparently in shelters in others they are mainly buffet and if you're late again, nothing is left. The stores are very large and very comfortable king size beds and a large shower with Brown melt. There are bathrobes and slippers and a hairdryer, if you want to use. Laundry service is available but at a cost.
