removing skunk odor from room and dog?
My dog got skunked last night at midnight so I scrubbed him down with shampoo twice, then soaked and scrubbed him with tomato juice, then scrubbed him agian with shampoo. But this morining I can smell it in my room and on him still faintly. So whats the best product the remove the smell from my couch and his dog bed. Im renting a rug doctor anyway to clean the carpet so the carpet will be fine. I am also airing the room out. SO what product should i use, preferably something i can buy in store such as walmart, or a camping store or something similar.
As for my dog, Ive heard of a recipe of 1 quart (or liter) of 3% Hydrogen Peroxide, H2O2, 1/4 cup (50 ml.) of Baking Soda, and 1 teaspoon (5 ml.) of Liquid Soap. The tomato sauce used last night worked slighlty so I need something to finish the job.
Use a mixture of 1cup hydrogen proxide, 1/4 cup baking soda, two cups water and a squirt of Dawn Dish Soap. Lather the dog in the mixture and then bathe with dog shampoo and rinse throughly.
