Camping Caravan Sites Weymouth

Buying a caravan onsite….?

Hi,

I am hoping somebody may be able to help me… I am looking to buy a caravan (touring) but would like it located on a site all year round. Ideally it would be in Dorset (UK) in or near Weymouth.

I don’t want an all singing all dancing one – I only want to spend around £800 and want site fee’s of around the same or preferably less!!!

All of the website’s I have tried are big “camp” sites with caravans costing 10′s of thousands!

My nephew has a caravan in another location and he only paid £500 for it and his site fee’s are only £500 per year also…

Any help – or recommendations welcomed.

Thank you x

it’s quite difficult to get information about small sites … when you do a google search it’s always the big sites that come up … have you tried the Tourist Information office for Weymouth and asked them for a list of sites? … by law all caravan sites have to be registered so some office in Dorset council must have a list of them all … alternatively drive around the area and look for places … I find the Ordnance Survey maps useful because they mark campsites … on map websites like Multimap you can change the map view into Ordnance Survey and look for the camping symbol … then you can do a google search with the specific location of the campsite and you might stand a better chance of avoiding the big name companies
