Place to go for primitive living?
I live in New Jersey and was wondering if anyone knew of a good place to go for primitive living/camping. I would like somewhere with a river or lake for a water source, but somewhat far away from civilization where I won’t be bothered. Someone had brought up the Delaware Water Gap and Bass River, but it seems it is too heavily regulated for my tastes and too populated. Any suggestions would be helpful and anything relatively close to or in NJ would be perfect. Thanks!
the Rogue River area in Oregon…there are all sorts of different climate types near the Rogue from mountains and forests and even more desert like areas….it rains a lot there, but the north side of the river gets more sun and tends to have rattle snakes and almost desert conditions in the summer, and the south side is rain forest with ferns and slugs. all sorts of natural plants for food….and of course the river runs thru it…salmon and other fish, even sturgeon….black tail deer, bears and mountain lions…watch out for pot farmers and gold panners
