looking for free camping sight in san bernardino county….?
with enough room for twenty people. not in the middle of a dessert. a remote forest type campsight would be best. good view of sunrise if at all possibel. i know there are plenty of places but i dont know where to look. thanks
Your problem is the number of people, the San bernardino national forest has yellow post and dispersed site camping that is “free” (an adventure pass is required foe each vehicle) the problem you face is that theses sites are limited to the number of people usually 8. Now some yellow post sites are very near each other, for example up by Heart Bar state park. but again limits are imposed.
Now if you can get your buddies to spring up some cash you can reserve a very nice group site in miller canyon next to silverwood lake up to 40 people here. I believe the going rate is 100 bucks a night now between twenty people that’s uh um… 5 bucks each right? think you can manage that?
