Dish Network Technical Question! Please Help!?
Hi. I have a Dish Network reciever (model 301) that I take with me when I go camping and I hook it up in my travel trailer. I hook it up to a dish 500. The problem is, when I get it all set up, I can either get satillite 100 or 119 but I cant get both at the same time. I thought my LNB was bad so I got another one and it did the same thing. So, I tried another one of my recievers. Same thing with it. The LNB that I am using is a dual LNB. Both 110 and 119 work, just not at the same time like they do at home. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for your response.
Do you have a switch ( like a Dish Network SW-21) installed? That is a small box that will let the receiver switch between the two LNBFs. Perhaps this diagram will help

Ignore the wiring for receiver 2 and the second switch as you are not using two receivers in your installation. Each of the LNBFs need to go to an input on the switch and then the output of the switch goes to the receiver. If you are wired this way and it still doesn’t work, I would suspect a bad switch. I believe there is a switch test on the Installation menu of the receiver.
