what was the name of the film on bb2 over easter about a german writer in germany during the nazi era ?
it followed a man who was a professor of some sort who was employed by the SS to write a book on behalf of the nazis, he has a Jewish friend in it who needs him to get him a ticket to france. There is also a reference to ‘kristalnacht’ and at the end hes looking for his friend in a concentration camp . It would be much appreciated if someone could tell me the name of this film please.
Maybe the pianist ? its sort of along those lines but he composes music and is saved by a german soldier ( he’s jewish) and at the end the german soldiers are all in the concentration camp when the russians take over and the german soldier that saved the jew is there and pleads for his help but he just ignores him. dunno if thats the same film though LOL
