Females mps and other soldiers overseas, need help with ruck packing,?

i am looking at packing my rucksack and going backpacking. i recieved my gramps ruck and 1960′s alice gear that he had in vietnam and plan on using it. it did good for him and i love the toughness of it. but the thing is my gramps was a grunt and though he helps with hints of things, he dosent know much about packing a ruck for camping in the state of alaska. i am sure i listed out everything i need and i am sure i know how to pack it, the only 2 problums i have are wear 2 put the bras and how many tampons 2 pack on a 2 week hike also where to pack them in the ruck. i figure i ask female soldiers first sence the army and marines are great for roughing it. can anyone help?
what should go in the alice web gear itself?

When I went camping (FTX) with the Army, I always put the bra and tampax or pads in the pockets or on the top if the ruck in a plastic bag so they don’t get wet. This way I could get to them quickly, if you pack them in the middle, it makes it hard to find them, so on the top, but bnetter in the side pockets, I assume the alice pack from your grandpa back in the day, still had pockets on the side. I wear a bra for a week, so I would pack 2 bras, unless you are thinking about doing alot of sweating or you will get wet then I would pack four bras, as for tampax, you should change that out every four hours, so 4 in a 24 hour period is 6 and for 2 weeks thats 84, but you shouldn’t be on that time of the month for two weeks so half that, by a week thats 42 tampax you would need to bring unless you don’t need that much at night, of course you know how much you need , so yo can figure that out from what I have provided so far. Put half the supply of tampx in the pockets and half out and then when half the supply is gone, move the rest into t he pockets.
