When does my husband get his orders?
My husband is at BTC and will finish next week. He will stay at his location for AIT. I looked at his AKO account under the ASK function and saw that his duty station is listed as Camp Carroll. I have been told that his orders will specify whether they are accompanied or unaccompanied. When does he get his orders so that I know? How do I find out in the meantime so that we can start making preparations?

Actually he is at Ft. Leonard Wood Missouri and will remain there for AIT. I didn’t find his actual orders but under the ASK and MY Personnel function in his AKO account his future duty station is listed as Camp Carroll, Korea with a reporting date of 3-14-2010. He graduates AIT on 2-11-10.
For right now he will definitely get his orders before he graduates AIT. The problem we may have at the moment is Camp Carrol is in S. Korea. S. Korea is a one year unaccompanied tour. If he has not submitted a request for a two year accompanied tour (as in you can go with him) then he is going alone and when his orders pop up on AKO you will see this as anyone going without command sponsorship is on an automatic one year unaccompanied tour. Luckily it isn’t in 2nd ID area so you may get it but chances are very slim as CS slots are very limited and depends on the area one is going to. But if he has not submitted an accompanied command sponsorship tour then he is going alone.
