What is the best tent camping beach in Rhode Island?
Somewhere between Providence and Newport and Mystic. We would like a private site…maybe trees, or just room in between sites. We are not into big crowds….just a peaceful spot to relax. Any ideas?
you can’t camp directly on the beach; but there is a great cheap state park about 2-5 mins from the beach called Fisherman’s state park in Narragansett. It’s located right on rt. 108 and minutes away from scarborough beach, sand hill cove beach and galilee. Good food all around too. hope this helps!
