camping with church….what do i need?
ok so this weekend me nd my church’s youth group r goin campin!yippie!but first i need to know wat to bring..here wat im already bringin(its a 2 day camping trip)
toothbrush
digital camra
cell phone(lol prob wont have any bars but bringin it anyway!:P)
sleeping bag(zebra print!)
pjs
pads(jst in case)
snacks
flashlight+laser pointer
fishing pole
whipped cream and a feather!(seriosly)
change of clothes
hairbrush
glasses case
razor…lol sum ppl i really need to get back for last year!:P
book full of pranks!
ok soo thats wat im gonna bring…anybody think i should bring anything else?
A can of shaving foam is better than whipped cream for pranks, since it doesn’t go bad without refrigeration, and stays foamy longer once sprayed out.
You might want to bring bait and/or lures for the fishing pole. Hooks might be a good idea too.
Toothpaste to go with the tooth brush. Mouthwash might not be a bad idea either. Dental floss is good too, since it can be used for other things than hygiene, including pranks.
Soap. Either in a soap caddy or soap-on-a-rope. For that matter, got a towel? Swimsuit, if there’s any place to swim?
Extra underwear and socks. A second change of clothes might not hurt either.
Sunblock. Insect repellent. Find a product that does both to save space in your bag.
Light jacket (it can get cold at night even when it’s not during the day).
Spare batteries for flashlight, laser pointer, camera and cell phone.
4-6 Plastic garbage bags (the black ones); Useful for emergency rain shelter, useful for dirty laundry. And if you can’t come up with a prank use, you don’t deserve that prankster’s book.
Small first aid kit. The church group almost certainly has one along, but you might need something NOW, rather than after however long it takes to get to the main kit.
Backpack. You didn’t list a bag in your gear, and a backpack is generally superior to a duffle bag for camping.
Hiking boots. Canteen. Sun hat. All useful if you end up on a hike.
Squirt gun (you can get very compact super soakers these days).
Signal whistle and signal mirror. Getting lost sucks, and being able to call for help rocks. For that matter, a compass is good too.
Glasses (to put in your glasses case). I know this sounds stupid, but it would suck to forget them somehow. Never underestimate the power of last minute packing panic. So put them on your checklist.
Pen and a pad of paper. Use a sheet or two to make a checklist, so you don’t forget anything. But don’t forget to bring the pen and pad too, since being able to write notes can be handy.
