Camping in the Western United States?

so me and my sister is going for a road trip this week, and we are driving down from Seattle to Califonia. I want to stay in hotels, but she wants at least one camp in the night, my only fear is that the bears! I just wanted to know if there are a number of attacks National Parks (like the royal parks for camping, not to sleep in the middle of nowhere) and precautions to take. if you camp, it would doubtless Oregon or California. we camp or just sleep in hotels? PLEASE HELP!

The mountains of California bears, but all the time to store food safely in a box to support and keep your campsite clean, have no problem. I went camping in California and had a bear come in my area once. We kept all our food security because there was nothing for him to find. We kept our distance and watched, enjoying the opportunity to see wild animals on our way. Most bears prefer to avoid an encounter with humans have had the chance. The attack surprised if you have the food they want, or a sow protecting their young. The most likely is food situation. So keep your food safe (including toiletries such as toothpaste, deodorant, everything feels good). California has so many wonderful campgrounds that are not going to let some erroneous fear of bears can ruin the experience. There also many camping areas where bears are not a problem, such as camps near the coast and in the coastal strip. Bears are most prevalent in waterfalls and mountains of the Sierra Nevada.
