What do you think of carbon fiber parts?
As the bells and logs? I know that they are lighter (much lighter are different from OEM parts?), but I heard that carbon fiber is more brittle and more rigid than metal, so if you are on a collision the hood of the car could come to chop it in half. What do you think, carbon fiber is worth it? What are some of the pros and cons of it?
Personally I think the carbon fiber parts are more valued, unless a big way in racing, where weight is everything. carbon fiber parts are substantially lighter than the material body parts. as you said, are strong, but do not bend at all … that has just broken. So I would say save your money and make fiberglass if you have to make a hood or deck lid.
