LED home lighting
In the 1960 LED is found only in expensive industrial machinery before moving to the indicator lights on electronics common household. Now the biggest growth area light emitting diode is lighting. No low power consumption, robust construction and long life makes the perfect choice for applcations energy saving lighting.
LED chip is encapsulated in a compound microscope light, the study is epoxy resin more durable than traditional glass lamps or fluorescent tubes. Having no moving parts are fragile or vibration resistant and virtually indestructible. With a layer of epoxy resin, LEDs can withstand extreme temperatures and moisture resistant.
Recent developments in LED technology have been significant improvements in their light output with the new range of replacement lamps matrix of Nexxus Lighting. with a light output of 95lm / w, Array lamps are Available in sizes 1-8 watts.2W – LEDs are now available in most common bulb and pin configurations.
The only disadvantage LEDs for home lighting in general is the perceived cost, and when the LEDs matching transformers may be necessary to change to meet the minimum requirements transformer load. Like any other product emerging, there are many inferior products on the market that do not match the manufacturers' claims or hope Output of life. It calls for industry regulation and production performance and universal standard of measurement to be applied. Lower-quality LEDs are very low-cost savings when not meet claimed life expectancy or production, often resulting in costly replacement and disillusioned consumers. LED manufacturers are developing diodes made from silicon-based materials, which are not toxic and was expensive to manufacture than current diodes and gallium sapphire base will not only help in carrying LED chips, but also help reduce the manufacturing cost.
There is no doubt that the LEDs are more energy efficient in managing the two compact fluorescent and incandescent lamps, however, little research and information available in real energy costs of production LED chip or heat sinks, or on the effects of the elimination of a certain color LED (red and IR) which contain toxins and harmful materials. LED, however, contain mercury, such as compact fluorescents – a toxin found in all compact fluorescent harmful and require special disposal to prevent this from coming into heavy metal our waterways and environment.
Like computer chips, LEDs doubling their production every two years, while research and development is becoming an alternative, lower cost materials to help reduce production costs and help them become the choice of lighting the 21st century. If the LEDs can be manufactured without using more energy than common incandescent bulbs, then help you reduce electricity consumption lighting by up to 90%, reducing carbon output, alleviating the need for hundreds of new power plants and helps to get our world into a place brilliant.
