Can a Coleman® Self-inflating Camp Pad With Pillow self-inflate twice. How do you refill the inflater?
This may seem like a stupid question, but I can’t find the answer anywhere and I don’t want to pay $30 for something that only works once. It seems like the air for self-inflation has to come from somewhere. Do you refill it with a tire pump? Purchase some sort of chemical filled device?
These types of camp pads usually have foam(similar to memory foam) inside them. When you take it out of its package, the foam will be compressed, and the valve will be sealed. open the valve and the foam will want to expand to meet the pressure of the outside air. This will draw the air into the pad, thus inflating it, then you simply close the valve and it is ready to be slept on. When you roll the pad up, open the valve and as you roll, squeeze the air out, and close the valve when it is rolled and squeezed enough to be able to fit back in its bag. Then the pad is ready to be used again and again.
