Take my dog camping?
I'm going camping next week to the lakes and was wondering if anyone knows if the stores and are good to let the dogs in? We stay in Keswick, but probably going to Windermere and Bowness, too. Really want to take him, but I do not want to lose the opportunity of doing things, because they have not been for a long time. I also be interested if anyone knows of a good puppy kindergarten in case.
First, the Most campsites do not allow dogs, so make sure you can take it to the one you are visiting. Second, most campgrounds require that you have your dog on a leash and controlled at all times. Hopefully your dog is small so if you go into a shop and so have to take your dog with you, just have to collect. This would prevent the store owners or employees to say something. I've never been where you are camping, but these are my tips from personal experience taking a camping dog. If I had to take mine I do not, but sometimes have no choice. Good luck!
