What to pack for summer camp
More than a place to spend your summer vacation, summer camp is a fun place where a child can learn to be more independent, develop friendships and develop new skills. Summer camps are also accredited to promote the meaning of work team for children and teach children how to appreciate nature and outdoor sports – especially in a generation where fun usually means playing computer games or surfing the Internet.
Summer usually lasts from two to four weeks camps, depending on the activities of the camp. Since the election of the camp perfect packing up your child for camp, parents have an important role in ensuring a successful camp experience and memorable for their children. As in most things in life, preparation is key – especially in packs of gear for your child. Here are some helpful tips and links to remember before sending their children to camp.
The first step would be to create a packing list. Summer camps usually send a recommended list of essential packing. Sure to include all things of this official list in the progress of their children. They are there for a reason.
Pack early. Start the purchase of essential field as soon as access to the recommended list of things to bring from camp. The delay did not do any good. Packing of several days (or weeks, if possible) Stress will help avoid last minute shopping trips. It also saves you the hassle of scrambling to find your favorite shirt and pajamas in the last minute.
Do not forget to pack the appropriate drugs. While most camps have clinics and first aid stations, is still very substantial package of drugs your child's prescription. It also includes best practices for the phone / phone number of the doctor if the prescription is lost and must be completed by the camp staff.
Pack an extra pillow. Despite reminders from the camp staff that the facility has enough bags pillows, might be better pack extra pillowcase. Most children in the camps complain that the pillows and the cases provided by the camp are notoriously grungy. Also, it is more hygienic for their children to use their own pillowcases, at least.
Pack an adequate number of clothes, taking into account the duration of the camp. In general, washing is done once a week in the camps. Make sure your child will have enough shirts, jeans, underwear, pajamas and other essential clothing laundry, even if done only once every week. There is no fixed rule for the number of bundle of clothes to the need and the amount largely depend on the location of the camp, but to be on the safe side, this list could be helpful in planning their children costumes:

- Check all – every piece of clothing, books, toys – with the name of his son
- Include a list of emergency numbers and email addresses
- Disposable flashlights are always useful, regardless of the location of the camp
- Pack with the leadership of several stamped postcards to encourage your child to write
