How much should I charge for hand-embroidered items?
One of my hobbies is the embroidery and do it by hand. Most of my work is given as gifts and embroidered items such as pillowcases, sheets, guest towels, baby blankets homemade bonnets and aprons. My last project was a Christmas gift was a set of four platforms at each station represents. The person I gave these has been showing all and now I'm getting a lot of offers of people wanting to purchase some of my stuff. The thing is I'm not sure how much to charge! Anybody have a clue?
These are work ~ love no doubt about that. You could start searching online to see what is required for these products by others. The challenges are a product from Asia where people are on board all day for almost nothing. One might consider just asking people asked to do the job that would pay for the work too. That will help you understand if this is something you want to follow. Lovely to hear that people still love doing this kind of fabric ~ beautiful gesture
