Does your family vacation as a child?
It has always been in New Mexico, the mountains, and camped. We take our own food, assemble riding, hiking and fishing. Do not ever cost too much, but my dad was cooking breakfast and fried fish on an open fire and hot coffee every morning. We sleep in a tent with beds lined up musky scent from start to finish where he huddled under quilts in the house of my mother. It was pure heaven.
Yes we have done as a matter of fact. The longest trip ever made was from Oklahoma to Colorado to visit my aunt, an uncle and cousins who lived there at that time. But other trips that we were always going to a lake. Always sleep in Mom and Dad have a camper shell on his truck. They are a sheet of plywood on the back next to the cockpit and had to sleep on a mattress and a bed for each of us sleep. If there is a "pot" which serves as a toilet and had our own food and beverages. Mama hang a sheet on a line that stretched from one tree to another tree and it where we changed our clothes and swim well. It has also been used for hanging clothes wet when we finished swimming for a while. We'd like hamburgers and hot dogs cooking on the flame of a metal mesh that had left an old refrigerator.
