What stores would you typically get a battery operated lamp & a power generater from? How much do they cost?
*A lot* of stores have generators and such items. What I personally suggest is calling up a couple hardware stores and asking them which generator would be best for you (ie: how much power you would need, whether it should be portable, etc) and find out their best models and prices.
