Is it worth it to buy a leatherman MUT, even if I don’t own a gun?
I dont own any guns, but i really like the MUT, is it still worth it?
or should i go for the Leatherman Surge?
No, I don’t think so. You would be happier with a Charge Ti if you want to spend that much money. Personally, I’m, a backpacker and therefore very careful with weight. A Micra or one of the smaller Leatherman’s is more suited to backpacking. I have had one like the Leatherman Kick (simple 4″) $30 for quite a few years and it is still sharp and has done a good job: durable, reliable etc. I wouldn’t pay much more than that because I don’t think the utility improves much as the price skyrockets.
One reviewer recommended the Charge Al (Aluminum) over the Ti. He thought the Al was better and costs less!
