When inflammable packing for camping?
We camp at Desert One hot country and I have a small stove that uses propane disposable cylinders, and also a Coleman stove that uses white gas, I plan two stoves. I have a van with a storage tank Thule black on top. Where the fuel? I imagine the interior while driving will be cooler than the Thule (Thanks to AC) but when the car is parked sunlight of the van could be hotter than the Thule. Is there a real risk with one or the other? Oh, yes, and what happens to a lighter?
All that talk about fuel must be transported outside the vehicle – I saw a shell Thule water sealed sealed fuel does should not be stored in there either. If you have a trailer hitch I suggest you use a carrier trailer hitch – a system platform which slips into the hitch. Another suggestion is to buy gas just before going on site and outdoor storage and shade the campsite.
