What is the difference between an LED and an LCD screen on a MacBook Pro?

Good question – but in reality, the first thing to clarify is the idea that MacBook or MacBook Pro has an LED screen and an LCD screen. LED refers only to the portion of the backlight of the screen, not the screen itself. There is a misconception that the current model MacBook and MacBook Pro do not use liquid crystal displays.
