My Review Of The Century "sunflower" propane heater
Well after discovering that my Coleman heater blackcat not be submitted until cold in my ice shack laptop, which had to invest in something that could warm my refuge until the ice. So now I bought a "sunflower" radiant heater is screwed into a propane tank. Now I'm glad I did because this heater works fine!
Over the years and I have used my friends sunflower heater ice huts and always worked well. Depending on the btu, you can work, pumping out a lot of heat. I do not know why not buy one right off the bat, but sometimes I like to try new things and the Coleman blackcat was something new to try, I guess. I'll keep it in my box for the caravan and camping stores campaign, but thats about all it will be used for.
So I bought a sunflower century radiant heater that screws into the top of a tank propane. I also bought a small bottle of propane 10 pounds, so do not have to carry a 20 lbs tank on my sled. So after setting up home ice, I and my wife decided to try out this heater. It was around -15 C was what did not take long to get a chill goes. The adjustment of the heater well in my storage box, which protects it from the elements of snow and ice sled pulling quad. This heater has a range of 10,000 BTU to 13,000 BTU. After switching up, I turned to maximum. I would say that after compressing the closed door, in about 15 minutes you can take your jacket and sit on the ski-doo pants. It made the ice very toasty refuge inside and after a while I had to turn it down to the bottom because it was hot inside. Even when the sun was setting, managed to add some more cold, but this heater to keep warm!
So in all, this heater worked perfectly! It kept us warm all afternoon and night. The only thing I dislike is the back of the stove gets hot to the touch so you have to be careful driving that what not to burn your own or in my case, the side of portable ice shelter. Also you should turn it off in time for it to cool before packing. For when I take you down the ice shelter and loading my sled, it's cold enough to put in the storage box!
