Where I can find elastic to secure tent poles?

I have a tent (Sierra Designs, but I think what matter.) Has the collapse of aluminum poles that are about 10 segments of 18 "in length each. If you have seen the modern shops, you know what I'm speaking. The problem is that the store is a couple of years now, and the elastic inside the poles is dry-rotted. Has no spring left in it, that the poles do not fit together firmly. I have to replace the interior elastic cord (at and wonder about where I could get something like it. Also is the question of how much to buy. When fully extended, the poles are about 15 feet long. But I know that needs to be somewhat elastic longer than that of having sufficient slack to collapse. I can not use the old spring as a guide, as everything is rotten. Any campers out there with ideas? This will require about 45 feet from a low of elasticity, so I have to find a relatively inexpensive way to buy it.

Some companies make Store games with all parties to do this. I could find the kit for my tent with a Google search using the trend of the brand and spinal repair kit. I just had to do a pole of my 25-year-old Eureka tent and looked around for options. – - – Remember, you really does not require the download cable to pull the pin tight. Actually is there to keep the pieces in place to make them easier to assemble. My solution was to buy appropriate elastic width of a sewing shop and use some aluminum blind (also known as "POP") rivets to act like caps on the cable. I met the greatest diameter of the rivet body in the style of a small head that fits in the locations of the ferrules and then bought more rope elastic that fit within it. A good camping store like REI will also have elastic is a bit more durable in many sizes. A light tap with a hammer easily push the rivet mandrel. I fed the elastic freely if the top rivet more segments of the pole segments and a rivet crimp the cable (adjusted a knot in the cord in case you wanted to slip inside the capsule). I also put a drop of "glue to make sure that the knot did not slip. I used a folding flights for automotive electrical connectors for crimping the rivet body. Pull the cord so you have a little slack when the poles are bent. If you forgot Riveting chain top first, you will need to cut the cable a bit long and feed rivet in it, as the cable stretches. Tie a know in the cable Download and flatten the rivet in place. I attached a cable to a piece of thin wire to help feed through pole segments. It now runs like new
