Breast Cancer Survivor's Guide to Humor
As she received the devastating news, Maha El-Sabaawi was helpless as he watched his life and dreams come to a halt. There was little I could do what his body was frozen with emotion. Maha knew his life would never be the same after that she was diagnosed with a rare form of advanced breast cancer.
Maha came to Canada from Saudi Arabia as a child before settling in London, Ontario with his family spoke briefly stayed in Toronto, where she was diagnosed with cancer. Over the past two years, the 26-year-old has been struggling an uphill battle not only their health but also recover their lives and their identity as a young woman who has undergone a double mastectomy.
During his recovery process, Maha found to have a passion for acting in front of a camera. Linking your passion for celebrity gossip, began to create humorous parodies popular TV programs and celebrities. After uploading their videos on the Internet and create their own Web site, celebrityfling, Maha won a cult following of users were charmed by his lively personality and character well scripted.
Maha began posting their media in the talent of Web sites, and users immediately embraced his magnetism and recognized his incredible talent. Maha and continues to create new short films, all the while facing obstacles in the way to recovery of his health. His illness has not dampened his positive spirit however. "My attitude is getting stronger every day. I'm relentless," proclaims in his biography online.
Although Maha has defied the odds, breast cancer is a growing epidemic. This time it was a disease that is believed to pest only older women. However, women of any age are at risk for this cancer. Experts are not positive what are the reasons for Breast cancer formation in some people. But according to the National Cancer Institute, research has led many to believe that there are certain risk factors that can be attributed to breast cancer.
Some risk factors include a family history, personal history, and race. Family history of cancer breast increases the risk of women in the same family who developed the disease. It was noted that if a family history of breast cancer with women of getting cancer before 40 years of age, family members of women are susceptible to a younger age.
When women have had a previous case of cancer breast, it is likely that the cancer coming back in the other breast. This is evident in the experience of Maha. The cancer appears only in one breast and quickly withdrew, however, the cancer reappeared in the other breast. To reduce the risk of breast cancer reform, many women choose to have a mastectomy or double mastectomy.
