Food is always nice to have. Peanuts and beef jerky are light and easy to bring on the trail.
Matches, flashlight, extra socks, and rain gear are things I always make sure to bring. You can go as simple as you’d like – just be prepared for the weather. It sucks to be cold or wet when sleeping / hiking.
