Does anyone know a good place for fishing and camping on the Gulf Coast of Texas?
Hi I'm looking for a thinking advice to go to the Texas Gulf Coast and looking for a place in the bay that I can pitch a tent and fish in a one place. Any advice or knows of a place? Me know in South Padre Island Camping is free the beach but when I went down I never see someone Fishing from the beach. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
The docks of Port Aransas, TX is a good place to camp and is free. I'm in the autumn all the time (in the best time to fish, IMO). Unable to fish on the docks at night, but can catch the early morning and still flounder, red drum, black drum, trout, whiting, sheep's head, and all kinds of fish. Live bait works best.
