How do I cycled from San Francisco to Portland (or back) with a tent in the back?
My friends and I really want to get away this summer in a zen / class-ish nature of the experience. We had enough in cycling over the past two years and wants to bike from San Francisco and Portland. But I do not want to stay in hotels and motels, tents only. We do not want to go to a preset program, so we have more time to stroll and explore. Is that possible? Could you be more realistic walking? We are all 17-18 years of age. parental consent would not be a problem. In addition, we are located in Chicago, it would be difficult to transport art / bike be from here to Portland?

I agree with the answerer above: you will to search for travel bikes – these racks are suspended on the rear wheel for tents, clothing, supplies and the like. take all this in the back could cause serious injury, and make your ride totally unenjoyable. is entirely possible.
