Mosin Nagant 91/30 unissued. Worth it?
I have a couple million barrels Mosin surps but are not used, good for plinking and hunting big game in the ranks, but nothing really far away. I know a couple of places that sell (say) never used, not issued mosins that come in their original packaging, with a pair eliminated on the screen on the wall, is likely to shed full of invisible unless cosmolene apart but I have dealt with this before. May be a little used and only make not issued the order to sell but not perfect in every way, I looked at myself, mirror 100% in the barrel without a scratch. I did not have one because I thought the price was exaggerated. Not going for around $ 350ish, I do not remember the exact price. Is that a decent price for a 91/30 unissued, unused or are inflating the price? I've seen prices much high for versions of sniper or snipers Finnish or Finnish versions. 91/30 It's just a standard version and not a sniper without a scope. And if $ 350 is a lot then what would a fair price?
I do not buy it. I am very sure that these are definitely probably used and reconditioned. Many of the 91/30 s' were refinished to new condition close to the 70's in Ukraine. The way to know is that a small mark will be on the side of the population, looks like a square of approximately 0.5 "X.5" and has a single diagonal line through it, which is rebuilding brand. Often Century Arms deals with the 91/30 's that are rebuilt and in excellent condition. These usually can be purchased at many sporting goods stores like Sports Dunham for about $ 80. If I were buying maybe I would pay 150 to that for a very pleasant or up to 200 if very nice and lacking an import label (name of the importer receiver). As you are describing, I would walk, there are plenty of best buys out there without much future.
