What are the best things to do/see in Holland & Belgium?
I am going to Amsterdam in The Netherlands with a touring band and will be around the area (mainly Amsterdam), as well as spend a day or two in Belgium. However, I will have a little bit of free time & would like to explore some of the places and things locals find interesting.
Here are some places I already plan to visit:
-Redlight District
-Van Gogh Museum (not a local hotspot I’m sure, but still…)
-World’s narrowest house (I like oddities)
-Vondelpark
I am interested in places for hiking and/or camping, special neighborhoods, places to see great wildlife, restaurants (not expensive), favorite hostels, thrift shops or regular stores with wild or unique items, local festivities, other band’s shows, local music venues (bars/performance spaces/etc).
Please tell me why you like the place that you mention.

Try the tulip fields where they grow and export the flowers.
The diamond factories.
Cheese factories.
Just look around and see the people they are one of the friendliest people I have met.
Take a canal boat for a river tour.
Look at the fashion of holland they dress as cool as you will ever see.
