Where can I go camping/bush craft around Payson, Sedona, and Flagstaff?
I would like to go straight up wilderness survival with my brother . I would like to go in an area with forest’s and preferably Water (lake, river, creak). I am going with the clothes on my back, a survival kit, a knife, and for safety a pistol and i will be going in the dead of winter also i need a place which allows fires. So are their any good areas in witch this can be done. Please give exact locations. Thank You
I can’t believe you would head into the wilderness with only a recommendation from an internet web site… especially in winter with little or no experience! Where you are talking about camping has an excellent chance of being well frozen and covered with snow, so your requirement of lake, river, creek will likely require ice cutting tools if you intend fishing, otherwise, you can melt snow for your water.
If you want specific ideas, you should contact the US Forest Service ranger district office for information about the area you are interested in camping.
